The pensions sector is complex and highly regulated. The 2004 Pensions Act, together with a climate of uncertainty, places greater demands on pension scheme trustees. In particular, trustees risk personal liability unless they can demonstrate that they have acted in the best interests of members by ensuring that schemes are prudently run. Chiene + Tait is one of only a few independent firms with a dedicated pensions group. We have an extensive pension client base which enables us to provide advice to trustees across a range of sector issues.
